POSITION PROFILE DOCUMENT
FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Attending to Dell/Lenovo warranty calls both commercial and residential clients.
Responding to all other service calls from PTG / DU’s Dispatch/Call Center as required
Leading projects and training resources with the assistance of the PTG Project team
Help defuse customer issues by taking over troubled calls from other technicians
Communicate with customers to resolve, troubleshoot, diagnose problems
Certify / upgrade skillset as required when new customers, or technology is introduced.
Work closely with the Operations team to maximize utility, and complete calls or projects as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:
Dell DCSE certification mandatory (offered by PTG/DU)
Lenovo certification mandatory (offered by PTG/DU)
Strong PC repair experience
Must have A+ certification
Basic computer tools: screw drivers, meters,
Strong customer service skills
Good communication skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to complete tasks effectively with minimal supervision
Must have a valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle at all times
Must be able to pass a background check
