Title: Supply Chain Functional Consultant (Kinaxis)

Type: Full Time

Location: Preference is Toronto, although this position can work remote anywhere in North America

Salary Range: Negotiable

Start date: Immediately

Other: The successful candidate will be part of a project team with an engagement leader, project manager, functional leaders where necessary and other consultants. The team may also include staff from third party application vendors. The role will work directly with customers at the customer’s site and via teleconference / web meeting when at the Client’s office.

Travel is expected to be 50+%.

 

Job Description

 

The role of THE Supply Chain Functional Consultant (Kinaxis) will be to work directly with customers to configure and deploy the multi-site planning and inventory optimization functions in the client’s application tool suite with a particular focus on the RapidResponse and SmartOps applications.

You will be resolving complex data problems and configuring applications for multi-site environments to ensure that the solution is producing the expected results.

 

If you are looking for a new and challenging opportunity to make a positive impact in a growing Supply Chain Services organization and have a strong supply chain background, possess more than 5 to 7 years of supply chain and 2 years of solution design and implementation experience with Kinaxis (RapidResponse), SmartOps and/or other planning tools, then this is the job for you!

 

Responsibilities include:

 

-Facilitating business process analysis and design with customers to understand requirements and define conceptual solution / technical solution blueprint documents.

-Includes mapping of demand flow from parent sites to children sites.

-Define and document source data and interface requirements between source systems like ERPs and the applications of our tool suite.

Development in RapidResponse

-Modify data models and control sets as necessary.

-Develop / configure workbooks, scorecards, dashboards and other tools in RapidResponse.

-Modify / export workbooks, including creation of export job stream, coding advanced filtering and workbook authoring

Development in SmartOps

-Data source mapping and addition of new data points if necessary

-Setup filters

-Adjust worksheet configuration to match data from nodes

-Lead / participate in unit testing, integration testing and user acceptance testing including defect resolution cycle.

-Create / modify / edit documentation as necessary to support user training and hand-off to support teams.

-Support training, deployment and solution stabilization activities.

-Participate in improvement of solution model as needed.

 

 

“Must Have” skills:

 

1.    5 to 7 years’ experience in supply chain background,

2.    2+/- years’ experience working in Kinaxis, RapidResponse with experience with workbook
       configuration, data models and control sets.

 

Strongly preferred skills:

 

-Experience in pull-based planning

-Experience in demand supply balancing

-Experience in Kanban / ROP sizing

-Multi-site planning experience

 

Assets:

 

-2+ years’ experience working with inventory optimization, Kanban sizing, ROP sizing methods – experience with SmartOps application is an asset.

-2+ years’ experience with statistical analysis techniques. Experience with Six sigma methodologies is an asset.

-5+ years’ experience in ERP full lifecycle implementation in a SCM functional or technical lead role.

-1+ experience in PL/SQL development

-2+ years’ experience working directly with customers


Education:

 

-Post secondary degree / diploma required

-CPIM would be beneficial

 

Industry Experience:  -Electronics Industry (EMS, OEM), supply chain consulting services
